XXI PSPS Annual Meeting – summary

On 17–19 September 2026, the XXI Annual Meeting of the Polish Social Psychology Society took place in Warsaw. Over the course of three days, the conference provided an opportunity for 215 researchers from 45 different institutions, including 15 international universities, to meet and exchange ideas.

PRESENTATIONS | This year’s conference featured keynote lectures by Agnieszka Golec de Zavala (Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University / Goldsmiths, University of London), Simona Sacchi (University of Milano-Bicocca), Vassilis Saroglou (University of Louvain), and Constantine Sedikides (University of Southampton).

In addition, researchers at various stages of their careers presented their work across 12 symposia and 115 presentations, including 43 fifteen-minute talks, 22 blitz presentations, and 41 posters.

CONFERENCE AWARDS | During the conference, awards were presented for the best contributions in each presentation format.

The award for the best blitz presentation was given to Michał Stefańczyk.

The awards for the best 15-minute presentations were awarded ex aequo to: Maciej Behnke, Weronika Kałwak and collaborators, Katarzyna Kulwicka and her collaborator, Michał Parzuchowski and collaborators, Wojciech Podsiadłowski and his collaborator, and Anna Starowicz.

The award for the best poster went to Patrycja Kiszka and colleagues.

PSPS AWARDS | During the conference, the General Assembly of Members of the Polish Social Psychology Society was also held, during which the PSPS Awards were presented.

The recipient of the PSPS Award for an Established Researcher was Michał Bilewicz (University of Warsaw).

The recipient of the PSPS Award for an Early Career Researcher was Marta Witkowska (SWPS University).

The recipient of the Solomon Asch Award was Lewend Mayiwar (Oslo Metropolitan University).
